featured boxes not on landing pg menu

I am really new to using themes on wordpress, and I have looked for information on the featured boxes on the landing page, but it looks like I don’t have that choice in my menu. The only things listed are Settings, Slider, and Text Boxes, and none of the other items that I see on the Verbosa theme listing. I want to set the featured boxes to several of my posts, and I can see how they are adjusted, but I just don’t seem to have the options there. Am I looking in the wrong place? Or do I need to change something on my Customize menu? Thanks.
