Totally perplexed here.. I’m editing a page:

I wanted to pull posts from a specific category or tag to this page, but its not working..
I have one plugin activated right now, thats Flickr Photostream. That uses shortcodes to pull the Flickr set and does work but I can not get something as simple as:
[recent-posts posts="5"]
to work.. Am I missing something utterly basic here? I tried disabling the Flickr plugin to see if it was conflicting but it changed nothing..
thanksDid you try stitching the theme and see if the shortcode works then? This is probably not theme related.
