Could you please help me how can I edit the front page title and text above and below the columns?
I selected a static page to the front page but the text doesn’t appear. Where can I edit it?

I had looked everywhere, but i don’t know how to change the text in the first page under the slideshow and the six pictures/text under that.
Also, the static page that i made does not show.
I found it.
you have to go to
appearance – widgets – Put some cryout columns in the presentation page columns.
Then those pictures will replace the six pictures at the bottom.Also for editing the text in the first page
tempera settings- presentation page – extras – extra text.Many thanks Albert! It works now!

Thanks for that. How about changing the font and doing a return – so your text can be on separate lines? Something like;

Before making any modifications to your theme we strongly recommend using Child Themes.Hi am really stuck have customised my image on the presentation page but can’t seem to get rid of the text which is “tempra brings the mountain to you” and other quotes really annoyed as I know it’s probably easy. Would appreciate some help many thanks Jon.

You did NOT make it easy to simply change the text on the main page. I almost quit using this.
PLEASE… stop making things hard. Most of us are noobies who cannot afford to waste hours hunting for basic things.Thank goodness this topic was available. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think about the end user.
Hi. I can’t seem to remove the search bar and the “Nothing Found
Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.” text above it. I did go into the widget area and dragged it out of the footer area and I’ve selected “inactive widgets”. Now I have a widget that says “search” on the left hand side with the “add” button next to it, nothing that says “search” in any of the sidebars or footer areas on the right hand side of the page and at the bottom I have “Inactive Widgets” that says “search” below the text. By my website still displays it at the bottom of the page.I am not a programmer, nor do I understand it. But in my searches I came upon info, so I tried it out by applying my own logic to it :-). In the editor I went to style.css and replaced the word “block” with “none” in 4 places. That removed the search bar, but the text still remained. I found the text in archive.php, but I did not know how to delete it without messing up the template.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I don’t have a slide option. This is way to completed. i have tried putting the cryout column on the right and it did not work.

Riana, the ‘Apologies’ text will appear on your blog page before you have uploaded any blog posts. As soon as you post your first one, it disappears automatically.
I found Tempera very easy, and I had never made a wordpress website before. Then again, I took my time to explore the back end before going gung-ho into publishing anything. Quite frankly, I am still taking my time…
the reason you can’t find the slide option because it is one step deeper:
DASHBOARD >> APPEARANCE >> TEMPERA SETTINGS >> Presentation Page >> SLIDES

Hello and thanks for your help. I need to make the “extra text” on the presentation page a hyperlink. When I enter the href attribute it does not accept the html. Can you please help??!
Help. In a hurry and learning as I go. I changed the “EXTRA TEXT” in the presentation page and my white background is gone. What was the original html/text in that section? I can learn from what was already there… I just went too fast.

I am trying to change the main text on my front page. I change the text in the page which I chose as my static front web page, but nothing change on the website. I even try to delete it completely and replace it by a new one, but what appears on the website is still the old one.

How can I change position of the text in posts, I want it to be strictly below the image, really a problem for me, when the text describing a picture is somewhere on the top, next to another picture. Thank you, hope you can help me. Viola
Does anyone know how to remove the blogroll from the middle of the page? I cant seem to find our to remove it and its really bugging me. I have 3 widgets the blog roll but can’t seem to figure out how to get rid of that blog roll … Someone Help?

go to the Tempera options page (under appearance) then click on Presentation Page
it will have the option to show blog posts or not , a drop down box so choose to not show them
hthHow do I make the slider show up on the home page? I’ve done everything I can find in the presentation page settings and have saved changes, but nothing is there. Do I need to do anything in particular in the media library as I’m selecting the slider images to use? Thanks for any help. I’ve used Tempera before but it’s been a long time!

I’m trying to edit the size of the text that shows up on Cryout Columns when you want to click on it. It’s not in the Cryout Columns or Text Settings, so I guess it’s something that needs to be changed in the CSS but I don’t know how. Some help would be really appréciated !

MaryI would like to know how I can add an scrolling ticker embedded with <iframe style=”width: 100%; height: 40px;”…(embed code)…scrolling=”auto”></iframe> in the Presentation Page>Extras>Extra Text>Text for the Presentation Page> in either Top Title or Top Text.
The cryout widget has a button that says “Read more”. How do I change this to say “See more”?

I use the Presentation Page as front page (home page), but it doesn’t show up correctly in my Samsung Galaxy S6. The slider and extra text are missing. Also when I refer to my web on Facebook I do not get an image of the front page. Somehow the presentastion page does not work as a front page (home page). Please help me out.
