A highlight / graphic for current page (pagination)

At present, the numbers at the bottom of my screen read 1 2 3 … There is no way to see which is current page other than passing cursor over numbers, and watch the status bar. (If it doesn’t change, that’s the current page)

How about making current page different, such as 1 -2- 3 or 1 2 3 or even a small graphic, either theme designed of open to user to create. No doubt bolded / larger type size would be easiest to impliment … perhaps with a CSS background colour highlight
