Hi everybody,
I want to change some text fonts, but when I try to save them in the tempera settings it isn’t saved.
I tried the Reset to Defaults option, but that doesn’t work.
I even imported the settings I had saved from another similar site of mine, but it simply doesn’t work.
What can I do?Johanna

April 7th, 2017 at 15:32 #43824I am using a child theme. And when I use the Tempera Settings under Appearance it isn’t working.
But when I go to Themes, my child theme and then click on the customize button I go to the Tempera Settings of my child theme and there I can change the text settings etc.
I also found out, that I have to add or remove widgets in this way.
A bit weird, but it works.
So it is solved now.Johanna

If you’re having trouble in the theme’s settings with malfunctioning controls you may have a JavaScript error around there. Such issues are almost always caused by plugins that load their resources in places where they shouldn’t.If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

For now I leave it. Since I can do it through the themes option.April 13th, 2017 at 08:05 #43903I figured this out. Turned out that the Redis Object Cache interferes. When I fluch that cache I can edit the settings again.

April 14th, 2017 at 07:48 #43927I investigated this a bit more.
Till Krüss, from the Redis Object Cache plugin, writes this about not be able to save theme settings:
“It’s 100% up to plugin and theme authors to support WordPress’ object caching functionality. If you’re running into issues it’s best to speak directly with them.
However if they don’t resolve the issue you can always add the cache group they are using to the non-persistent cache groups.”

So I think it is something that should be changed in your theme.
It is alright for now on my site, but I probably will ran into problems again when the cache builds up.Johanna

April 15th, 2017 at 09:57 #43933To avoid running into any problems maybe you can give me the name of the theme settings group? Then I can exclude that from the cache in Redis.

And do you have any comment on the Object caching of the theme? Is that something that will be included in the future?Johanna
