Primary Navigation bug?

First I must apologise, I should have posted here first, I think. The headless chicken routine got the better of me, sorry. I’m using the Tempera theme, and I need to add loads of pages to the navigation menu. I have eighty eight items in the primary navigation at the moment, and no matter what I do, I can’t add more. I’ve even deleted the menu and rebuilt it again, and tried two different cryoutcreations themes, and deactivated all Plugin’s; unfortunately the problem persisted.
To explain what happens; I’m in the Admin/Nav-Menu section. I’ve got my 88 items in the menu structure, I add another page or Custom Link, I click the Save Menu button, the moment I do this the Primary Navigation tick box un-ticks, and I lose an item from the bottom of the menu list.
Ps, I have looked elsewhere on the site and found only one post with exactly the same problem as myself, plus my own fumbled headless chicken babble of course.

Ok, this problem has nothing to do with cryoutcreation themes. It’s basically a nube problem, this link explains all:

I have the same problem and it doesn’t seem to be what is described in above link?

In my case (and OP I think) the “Primary Menu” tick is removed and NO menu appears. Not truncated, but none. I can’t keep the tick to stick on Primary Menu.

It doesn’t wipe out any of my menus on the dashboard page.

Removing a menu item or two doesn’t allow the menu to work again.

I just can’t update the menu at all, tick won’t stick, no menu visible.

In any case I don’t have a clue how to change variables on the server.

    Any thoughts?

Julian, check (by disabling them) that no plugins are interfering with WordPress’ dashboard functionality.
