I love the theme so much, i copied it over to my other site: http://horsewisevt.com — on my main site, the images i use in the slider are fairly abstract. When I inserted real-people images into the slider on the horsewise site.. i discovered that only the very top of the image is showing. where-how do I get the image to scale to the slider, so that it shows as one picture-image entirety, rather than my horses ears and a lot of trees?
thanks

October 20th, 2013 at 21:49 #13120JimHi Terri
I had similar issue initially, then I got the slider dimensions from the Parabola Presentation page settings (i.e. 1050 wide x 350 tall) then resized and cropped my images to this aspect ratio, so the main portion of the picture was visible.
If you are familiar with graphics editors then I created a new image to the right dimensions, as the template, then pasted the images I wanted in as layers and resized them as I needed and saved each one. Once saved I reloaded them into the image library and set the links per slide.I hope this makes sense and helps…

Use and upload images that are the exact same size as the slider (resized/cropped beforehand as your see them fit) – the slider size is the one configured in the theme settings. If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.
Please check the available documentation and search the forums before starting a topic.October 31st, 2013 at 10:55 #13299AndyI have the oposite issued.
I resized my slider image to 800×250 and uploaded as featured image. It loads fine.
I then uploaded an new post image with dimenstions 800×400.
Then I changed mantra settings so the slider box is 800×400. However, the image has been resized to 800×250 somewhere along the way so existing images (size) 800×400 now appear in my 800×400 slider window as 800×250.
I deleted chrome cache and tried viewing the page on a different pc, still the same issue.
I uploaded the image again and applied it to a different post. Still the same issue.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your time.
Andy
