Hi. I just started using parabola theme and i really like it. Im playing with the options to know more about it and it seems an very rich theme, with options for everything. However i tried so hard change my presentation page putting the recents posts instead the “extra text” bur i dont even know if its possible.
So, somebody can tellme how to do this?
Thx

I also started using the Parabola Theme and I wanted to display the blog beneath the presentation page. I couldn’t find any option in the Settings Page to do so, but a very small modification of the template code seems to do the trick:
Get the index.php in your Parabola folder
in line number 16 in that file, instead of “else :” write “endif;”
in line number 59 delete the “endif;”
Upload the modified index.php to your Parabola folderI’ve done it this way and for me it works, so far nothing seems broken.
August 26th, 2013 at 06:09 #11596JohnHey Gernot, that’s awesome and very helpful.
I’m thinking that this would be an ideal option if I lock it to the latest 3 posts, and squeeze the posts between the slideshow and the columns.
August 27th, 2013 at 03:26 #11654AliceHi there. This is exactly what I am looking to do and the above seems very helpful. Unfortunately as a newbie to this I am not sure where the index.php is (or where my parabola folder is for that matter)
I can see Parabola “settings” but I cannot see it in there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. 🙂August 27th, 2013 at 21:47 #11702Julia TropsGernot, that was the perfect solution to what I was experiencing as well, thank you.
Now my blog posts are showing up, and also my sidebar! You are brilliant!
Thank you so much,

We’ll try to add an option for this functionality in a future update.

September 15th, 2013 at 20:04 #12319BonnieDoes this work for Mantra theme as well?
I am also a newbie- what is the child theme?
September 18th, 2013 at 20:55 #12382ZedCryout Creations mastermindThat option is now available in Parabola 1.1.0.
Mantra doesn’t yet have such an option, but the code change is similar.
Child themes – we’ll have our own tutorial about this very soon.

This is what i’ve been searching for since ages, thank you!
After doing what Gernot wrote (changing index.php) I only have 1 question left:
How can I center (in the middle collumn) the newly aquired posts? They are being show on the let side of the middle column.
I hope someone can help, I need it urgently!
October 21st, 2013 at 12:58 #13125Andrewnvm, I had the sidebar turned on while I had nothing in it so I didn’t notice it. Thank you again for the sollution on the posts tho!
