Hi, when I upload photos into the slides at the top of my page, the photos distinctively lose their sharpness. However, when I uploaded them onto the bottom columns, they are fine. I tried resizing to the exact size of the slider, and making photos sharper using blur and soft light but it still doesn’t work after uploading. The difference can be seen from this image (https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/246686_10150272732433033_7984717_n.jpg) and the first image of my slider on my website: creativepersonalizedgifts.com.

When you “Select/ Upload” the image into the slider, is the Size selection set to Full Size? Could be set to Thumbnail perhaps. I’ve had something similar happen.

Nope, it’s always set to medium size. I tried your suggestion of changing to Thumbnail, but it’s still blurred. Thanks a lot for the suggestion though! 🙂

.. my suggestion was to set it to Full Size as being set to Thumbnail, or a smaller size, could have been the issue.

I found that if I put the images in /parabola/images/slider folder, they stay sharp.
Any files added to the theme folder will be lost when you do the next update.

Please check the available documentation and search the forums before starting a topic.I had the same problem, was driving me nuts. It’s caused by the transition animations, so if you just go to Mantra Settings -> Presentation Page -> Slider Settings -> Animation Time and set it to 0 seconds, the blurriness goes away.
Of course, so do the transition animations.
