6th Slide Suddenly Appears on Static Presentation Page

A sixth empty slide (complete with slider navigation bullet or number) suddenly and inexplicably appeared on my static presentation page slider. I can’t modify, configure or remove it, as this theme allows for only five slides. This slide has its own animation characteristic and appears as a white window with the little circle thing turning until the first, configured slide reappears. This last empty slide makes my front page look incomplete and unprofessional. Please advise as to how to remove it. Thanks for your help.
