Upgrading Nirvana Theme

    I have customised the parent theme of Nirvana (love the theme) and a good number of the php files. Upgraded to WordPress 4.4 and have lost access to the theme customisation options. I’m currently running v1.0.6 of Nirvana, which is too early to use the Plugin. Any ideas how to upgrade without losing all of my changes, or at least get the customisation options back?

    You need to transfer those changes to a child theme before you can update.

    However, if you’re already stuck to that version do to massive changes, you could just adjust the theme to work with WP 4.4.
    Search for and replace occurrences of .accordion h3 with .accordion h2 in Nirvana’s admin/css/admin.css file and adjust the jQuery( “#accordion” ) call in admin/js/admin.js to use header: 'h2'
