Testimonial plug ins and post

Hello, I changes my front page from presentation to another static page so I can have side barsand do more wtih the page. Why cant i get post on the static page as well? Also, are there any compatible testimonial plug ins that are easy to use for Nirvana. I just want something simple that can be displayed on the front page. Thank you.
