Change Footer to Hide "Powered by WordPress"

    The only way I know to change the footer to take away the “powered by WordPress” is to Appearance – Editor – Footer.php
    However I cannot find the text to edit to fix that in this theme. Is there an alternative way specific to the theme? Can’t seem to find it on theme options either.

    WHY? WordPress is free and it is wonderful. Why not give credit where credit is due?

    Is this also the same way as the theme tempera?
