Preserve Formatting in Excerpt View

When displaying posts in excerpt view mode, any formatting such as bulleted or numbered lists is not preserved, which means that they all run together in one ungainly kind of sentence which doesn’t look pretty. Of course, all looks well when the reader opts to ‘Continue Reading’ and read the full post, but it would be great if the theme would honour formatting in excerpt mode also.
