Redirct issue with BuddyPress

I recently installed BuddyPress on my site and have been having some issues with it. If I set a page as the BuddyPress registration page it will no longer go to that page either by typing in the address in the URL bar or by clicking on a link, instead it will redirect to the Nirvana presentation page (and the main URL). I have tried it using a different theme and it works just fine. I also tried using it with Nirvana while deactivating all my other plugins. Nothing has worked. Any help would be much appreciated!
