Mobile menu broken

On my development site (and on the official Nirvana Demo Site) the mobile Menu has stopped working (tested with my iPhone / Safari on iOS 10). The icon still appears but touching it fails to unfold the menu. I have seen it working before, so it must have been added with the last 2 or 3 updates. Accessing the menu from a Desktop browsers “responsive Design mode” will not reproduce this.
