images in presentation page slider not showing properly

    hello
    I have put the dimension of the images for the slider to 1920×580 and uploaded images with exactly 1920×580. These images are set as featured images for some posts that are shown on the presentation page.
    However the images are somehow cropped to a very very thin height, almost impossible to see.

    on the other hand, for other post that have featured images larger than 1920×580 the slider shows a nice full image cropped to 1920×580 (crop is central).

    Can you tell me what could be wrong?

    Ciao, nel tema nirvana ho provato a inserire le 5 immagini a scorrimento , ma non riesco a visualizzarle. Dove sbaglio nelle impostazioni?
