Problems with sidebars and header

I have tried the Word Press Mantra support forum with no results in more than 2 days. I have installed Mantra theme and a child theme for it. Have created a stylesheet and function php’s. I have two main issues, first, my sidebars are not showing, footer widgets show in front page but sidebars are not showing at all. I have Jetpack with a widget visibility add on which allows me to tell the theme where to show each widget. I’ve tried many different combinations to see if the sidebars widgets will show, but nothing works. I’ve even tried creating a new sidebars menu for each side, I chose a 3 columns with left and right sidebar display, but no matter what I do, sidebars are not chowing.
My page does not uses pages but instead, utilizes categories since it’s a magazine news page for music, latin music. The site address is http://www.latinzonemagazine.com. Please, help me! I need my visitors to be able to navigate from one category to another and if they want, to visit pages, but with my sidebars not working, they have to go back to the home page in order to do this.
