[How to] Disable/remove archive & categories from pages/posts?

I’m currently using Mantra, being a very happy camper about that theme, with one small issue I can’t seem to fix myself. To make it easy I’ve taken a screen capture and will link it here. I’m using 1 column on the right hand side of the site and above the cut section of the picture is my menu + header. The highlighted in red area is what I want disabled/removed.
