Is their a way to change the menu bar style. example: instead of the tabs, have a full bar all the way across. Possibly a free plugin?
With a bit of CSS knowledge, it can be done.
I haven’t looked for a plugin as I was able to just use CSS – see http://www.zedt.euIf you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

Also, is there a way to have the tabs default to fill the whole of the menu bar area (eg: all the tabs auto-stretching/auto-shrinking to fill the 930px site)?

I REALLY like mantra, except for the tab menu structure. I’d also love to see/get the CSS coding to change the menu into a”bar” like Zen’s site or for that matter, here on Riot Reaction.

Is there a guide for this. As I also enjoy the whole Mantra theme except the menubar which make it hard to design around. I would be easier if it were just a normal bar
Yes, Zed… please show us the way! I don’t know CSS but Im working on it. Im finding that grabbing snippits from forums and using them in the custom css area is helpful to the learning process while at the same time getting things done.. Im almost ready to take my Mantra powered site live.. but I just don’t care for the tabs. Can you share your CSS code with us so we can adjust ours? I was able to find some bits that allow for changing of tab color and text color.. but it’s would be great to have a true “bar” like you have shown us. Thanks!
