Hi,
Absolutely loving Fluida!
I’m probably missing something quite obvious, but I’ve been having issues with the icons on my landing page, but also the arrow, menu and search symbols displaying incorrectly (as either empty boxes or oriental characters).
I have tried disabling and re-enabling a number of plugins, which cured the issue in Chrome and MS Edge on desktop, but it is still a problem on my android devices (also running Chrome).
There does not appear to be anyone else having a problem with icons on this forum, so I can only think I have done something specific to upset it.
Here’s the temporary website address: http://ndma.org.uk.gridhosted.co.uk/
Thanks.
P.S. I know you’re not keen on the idea from your replies to other suggestions, but it would be lovely if the icons linked through to a page!
November 12th, 2016 at 16:49 #40666tonygPower UserGood Morning.
Would you mind sharing how you got the learn more buttons under the featured icon text? I’ve communicated to the developer several time, how nice linking the featured icons to a page would be, but nothing yet.
thanks for any suggestions.
Tony
November 13th, 2016 at 12:44 #40671MilanPower UserI am seeing perfectly good icons, try to force refresh or empty the cash on your mobile.
November 13th, 2016 at 15:53 #40681sir_jamalotPower UserI have cleared all history and cache across my devices (2 PCs running chrome & edge, 2 android running Chrome), but still no icons. I even installed and tried Firefox, but every time I am still not getting the icons.

You’re accessing the site through www.ndma.org.uk.gridhosted.co.uk while WordPress sees itself installed on ndma.org.uk.gridhosted.co.uk. You should make all alternative URLs redirect to the main one (that WordPress also knows it is installed on), otherwise you’ll hit the browser’s access control security limitation.
@tonyg:
The theme will display the page’s contents exactly as defined in the icon blocks. This way you can add links for details/read more/so on inside the page content and point to any other content you wish (not just the page itself). If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

I said I’d missed something obvious and there it was, staring me in the face!
November 15th, 2016 at 15:05 #40754tonygPower UserOn mine condoslasflores.com when I add links in the content, the except portion below the featured icon, seems to strip out the html for the links. Is there another setting that I need, to allow links in the excerpt text?

thanks
November 15th, 2016 at 15:42 #40755sir_jamalotPower UserYou probably have the “Blocks Content” set to “excerpt”. Change it to “Full Content” in the Landing Page menu and it will allow the links. You have to keep the page short for this, but I have specifically made pages to fit.
Your site looks great though, well done!
November 19th, 2016 at 17:19 #40846tonygPower UserThanks… everything works great now since the 1.2 update…
