Tempera 0.9.7 is on the counter

Another round of tiny fixes and small additions! On the house, of course. Careful if you can’t hold your liquor though, there are a couple more of these coming right up!

The ingredients of this update cocktail:

  • the ‘Continue reading’ button always starts in a new line now
  • added shortcode support  in the Presentation Page titles
  • fixed main menu submenus going behind the slider navigation
  • fixed sidebar links not changing colors to those set in the theme settings
  • fixed blockquotes inside posts on the Presentation Page
  • added support for all HTML5 inputs on hover as well
  • added Russian language
  • added a new hi-res screenshot (880x660px)
Tempera is a free WordPress theme, created by Cryout Creations, that is responsive and seriously configurable. For more info check out the theme's page.

  1. I just updated to the latest tempera and wordpress versions and now I’m having problems. I add a cryout column widget, I save it and it does not appear on my presentation page. What gives?

  2. Zed – thank you again for Tempera, had many comments how your theme is the cutting edge for WP websites. I love being able to customize it. Though I am now looking for an answer for a small issue that I am learning to live with.

Searching the web for an answer, found a similar question recently discussed but it was for your Parabola theme.

Can the search box on the homepage, for the Tempera theme be positioned elsewhere, like in the header or footer, even the option to remove it totally??

“No Results Found” on homepage underneath the widget sliders, doesn’t look too appealing.

See http://www.agespring.com/ a research site for Protandim, proven to reduce oxidative stress in the human body.

    Thank you

  3. I am receiving this open graph warning, which was supposed to be removed somewhere in mantra, but now it is also in tempera:

Extraneous Property Objects of this type do not allow properties named ‘template’.

I have upgraded to newest tempera version today.

    PS: Awesome theme.

  4. Hi, I am very new to wordpress and using themes but yours seems to be the easiest to navigate by far! Thanks!
I am using Tempera and want to get rid of the pretty boxes on the lower part of the presentation page- I do not need them there. Can you assist me?
I also want to have different content in the ride and left side bars on the pages. How do i do that?
And thirdly (so sorry), I was wondering if you can recomend and portfolio plugin/widgets to be used on the pages?
    Kind regards.

    1. hi how to get rid of the lower boxes, go to the presentation page in the tempera setting on your dashboard and at the bottom half you will see presentation page columns change the drop down list to latest posts and the there will disappear.
as for the left and right side bars go to layout setting and you change that there as for the last thing i haven’t messed with that myself. hope this helps

  5. The count of comments is not localized. In german there’s still the text “One Comment” or “2 Comments”.

Should be “Ein Kommentar” or “2 Kommentare”

      1. My WordPress installation is localized. I have installed the german version. If I change the theme to ‘twenty fourteen’, the text changes to “Ein Gedanke” and “2 Gedanken”

  6. Thank you so much for your wonderful themes.
I currently use Mantra on my taxation blog http://www.sataxguide.co.za. Its so fantastic.

I however wants to use the Tempera theme, I am encountering a problem when I want to change the Presentation Page, When I change the Slides and clickcSave Changes, it gives me an error below:

Not Found – Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.

    Please help.
