Things change. WordPress changes and WordPress themes change. Design trends change. War, war never changes, but that’s a different story. Change is a vital part of existence and it’s usually a good thing. And that’s what we hope our latest theme update is.
Parabola, one of our veteran free WordPress themes has made it to version 2.0 and it has change written all over it. And this time change comes in the form of visual updates related to font sizes, padding and margins, animations, images and image sizes, content widths and theme defaults. Theme responsiveness, compatibility with plugins and Right-To-Left suport have also been improved.
So this theme update will visually affect quite a few things on your current site.ย In preparation for this you may want to take a look at our Parabola Theme Demo page so you’ll know what to expect before making the update. The changelog will also help:

Iยดm having some issues with my slider on the mobile version. The featured image of the article gets “chopped” after the transition
Check that all your slider images the same size as the configured slider size.
Best themes! Thanks a lot for your work and special thanks for Triangle Accents disabling! Oh…I have been waiting this function so long!
Thank you for using Parabola.
Btw, the triangles option has been in the theme since 1.1.2.
Ignore, I’ve found the issue. It seems I have to uninstall some things and reinstall. Phew!
Hmm, I have had another issue since the update that I have only just noticed.
Random words on my pages are linking to other pages on my website. This wasn’t there before but seems to be an issue since the update.
Good stuff. Many thanks. But I need to tighten up my navigation bar with this revision. Please can you tell me how I can reduce the spacing between the buttons and/or reduce the padding of the text in the buttons?
body #access a span {
padding-left: 0.5em;
padding-right 0.5em;
}
In attempting to fix a font problem with Quick Event Manager, I’ve also managed to make the font too large on our main navigation, as well ๐
You appear to have solved these in the meantime.
My columns are not showing up as 3 columns. This was fixed previously with this code:
#front-columns > div#column3 …………….etc.
This is no longer working!!!
Continue reading has gone a bit random – see http://redrocketrising.com for some strange effects. I’d rather it was centred and a consistent size. Time to break out yet more CSS

Huzzah! Thanks Zed! That’s fixed it. Loving the slicker fonts and bouncy bit on the slider! ๐
Looks great. However, this update has messed up my slider, again.
The main title on the slider is now in black, instead of white and I have a small image in the top left of the slider of the next image.
I did have some CSS in to fix this last time, but this update doesn’t support the CSS I had.
the update looks better but it has now caused problems on my front page.
The pal-shopping-cart plugin is incorrectly applying its styling all over the website, replacing theme styling in some places (like the slider). Disable it to resolve the issue.
Looks great thanks for hard work ๐
