Mantra updates FINALLY to 1.6.3 and then to 1.6.4

Mantra is alive and kicking. Things at WordPress were moving so slow we almost thought about giving up and upload the darn theme files ourselves. But just as that sinful thought was crossing our minds, one great guy got involved ( thank you emiluzelac ) and long story short Mantra 1.6.3 surfaced. A small bug that was stopping the custom settings from being applied was fixed soon after and then there was 1.6.4 which is now the current version of the theme.

So what is new? Well a lot has changed. The code architecture has been improved upon, making Mantra a lot quicker to load, the whole admin section has been revamped for a quicker and lighter user experience, and 2 new options were added: the custom header height which so many of you have requested and the featured image settings which now only enables and disables this feature. We will be working on expanding that in future updates with custom sizes for thumbnails, header images and even auto selected images.

We’re still working on the fixing the translation and we’re really close. Most likely it will be fixed in the next update coming in a couple of days or so.

Mantra is a clean, highly configurable and totally free WordPress theme. For more info check out the theme's page.

  1. Hi Kay,

I have tweaked theme’s style.css to suit my needs, however with every update I need to merge my changes. Is there any other efficient way of doing this?
I have read somewhere about wordpress having custom.css file for similar use.

    Thanks for your help..

    Best,

    1. Posted message too soon, 🙂

What I meant was I am not sure if Mantra provides similar functionality.
Basically what I am looking for is some convenient way of keeping my tweaked style without merging.

      Thanks,
      Sarang

  2. Hi,

I have been using Mantra theme for by blog for almost 6 months now and must say I love it.
I appreciate your providing mantra for no-charge.
However I was wondering if it is possible to enhance Mantra to include post-formats as well.

    Thanks,
    Sarang
