If you’ve recently updated to Mantra 1.8.1 or 1.8.2, it’s very likely that’s what you are here for 🙂
These two versions of Mantra are plagued by a couple of small (but somewhat annoying bugs) like images not getting displayed on the homepage, some comment fields issues and a couple of other little things that needed fixing.
So if you’re using 1.8.1/1.8.2, please update to 1.8.3 before reporting any issues. No matter how much we may like bugs, we hope to have fixed most…

Can I disable comments on pages in Mantra 1.8.3.?
Your question is not theme related. Read this or this.
First off what a smooth and beautiful theme you have created. Big thanks!
One small issue with a site running version 1.8.3 while viewing on an iPad (at least on a generation 2), linked under my name above. Most WordPress sites I have worked on seem to lock into the page with scrolling up and down. With Mantra the site also wants to scroll left to right. It kind of floats around the screen! I have tried shrinking the width down in the settings and eventually it will lock into place. Seems to be if the content of a page doesn’t reach the bottom the issues happens (see Project page on site). On longer pages it snaps into place (see Advisory Board). Again very minor but thought I would ask the question in case there is a simple solution.
Thanks.
Thanks a lot for the bug report. We’ll have a look at it and we’ll do our best to find it and fix it.
I left a comment earlier today about my post categories not working. Just wanted to say that they have magically re-appeared! I don’t know what you did or how you did it (I’m not that advanced.), but…THANK YOU so very much for your quick response and amazing wizard-like skills. You are indeed fabulous!
And thank you for being the best kind of user ever: the one that solves his/her problems before we even get a change to open our emails 😉
Also, on the new post page down at the bottom right where you select a category, when I choose “add new category,” and then do so, the new category I just made shows up in the category box with the name “uncategorized.” It does this each time I do it.
Forgive me if this is not the appropriate place to mention this–and if I am just confused. I am totally new to all of this and still trying to figure things out.
I just updated to the latest version of Mantra, but now I cannot select a category for a new post. When I tried to go back and fix my categories as they were, none show, but it says that a category like that already exists. Also, it shows as there being no categories, but up at the top where you can scroll to page two of categories it says that there are 23 items. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you! And thanks for a great theme–I love it thus far!
Hello everyone
Thanks for the great theme and maintenance.
I am interested in whether you can disable or remove the display “next / previous” ( pages or post ).
On this page is:
“« Mantra 1.8.1 is not Superman”
or
“First batch of updates for Opencart 1.5.2 – modules »”
Add this to your custom CSS:
nav-above {
display: block;
}
I apologize and thank you for your response.
But this does not solve my problem
How do I remove prewius / next to their site?
I got the answer:
nav-above {
display: block;
}
Look at the picture I gave a well made?

It would like to remove, but I failed with the above method.

Is there a way? Or I am not well made …
Thanks to all
I believe Mr. Kay here meant
nav-above { display: none; }
🙂And no… you don’t need to remove that line form the custom css box. /* */ means a comment.
Yap. I was a little dizzy at the moment.
I also forgot the #. So Vladimir, sorry for the inconvenience, the actual code to add to your CSS is this:
#nav-above { display: none; }
I am a beginner, so please.
If at all possible to write what was to be placed in this field?
Everything that does not make a mistake. rather than just copying and pasting.
Sorry about my english
THANK YOU
Just this. All you need to have in the CSS field is this:
#nav-above { display: none; }
Even though you are a beginner you can still try out stuff. If you make a mistake you can always delete the text and try again.

Still standing and do not want it
:)) Okay then try this:
#nav-above {
display: none !important;
}
No more depicted
Thank you for everything
Please look at this picture.

I apologize if I’m busy. Sory
The “Translate” text is defined as a link, and links are set to be blue.
The other widget titles are just text, not links and they use the colour set for widget titles.
But at the end of the text still stands

Forgive me for everything
You previously only asked to remove the top navigation. That’s the bottom navigation, which can also be hidden using
#nav-below { display: none !important; }
I just love this theme!! I do have a problem in that I have enabled the date to show on posts, but no joy. It does not matter whether I include “show time” or not, nothing appears. There is no difference whether it is a full post or an excerpt. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Author, date and category(-ies) are all tags.
You can enable/disable then on a one by one basis, but if you want to display at least one of them you’ll have to also enable the tags bar (that shows up under the titles).
The option to control this bar is named “Post Tags” and is found under “Post Information Settings”.
I want to thank Zed for walking me thru the menus, his explanation was the clearest, most concise I’ve ever seen on any wordpress forum! and on a Sunday, no less. I’m posting here since I don’t want to ‘bug’ him anymore and the fix mite be simple, I did upgrade to 1.8.3 and I see the orange border around both the “Main Layout” choices and the “Sidebar Menu Bullets,” but try as I might, I can’t change or click to anything other than what I’m assuming are the defaults (which are, respectively, two columns, sidebar on teh right and the white arrow) . Have tried clicking, dragging, but no-go. What am I doing wrong?
Zed is the greatest. And if he were here he’d say something like:
“Are you using Internet Explorer for a browser? If you do, please use another. You won’t have any more problems.”
And I’d just have to agree with him.
Well, should have know that, this comes under the old dog refusing to learn new tricks. OK, so switched to Chrome, you’re right, I can now click on the options, however when I view the page, no changes were made – and I’m viewing in Chrome. Specifically, just changed the arrows on the side bar, still seeing only the white arrow.
Thanks a lot for the feedback. It’s a bug. We’ll fix it in the next update. Everything else works as expected though.
It caused a site width prob when I installed the new version not update that is it made my page width zero by default. First I didn’t figured it out then made changes.
So it made your site width zero the first time you installed Mantra Theme?
Hello Kay,
Quick question, possible bug? (may have said this before.) In the Post Information Setting, the option to show/hide author. If I chose show, it shows the author, if I chose hide, it still shows the author of the post.
And for some unknown reason it will not show the Gravatar of the post author?
In WordPress Setting/Discussion avatars are set to show.
Any help would be nice.
Really appreciate the quick release of the update. I’m affraid though that the problem i had before doesn’t seem to be fixed.
I have a single column home page. As mentioned in the previous comment (Mantra is (not?) Superman), this stopped working correctly after upgrade to 1.8.2. I also have a contact page and that displays fine in one column (no side columns). But not the home-page. I even tried to delete the page and recreate it, but it still will display the 2 side columns as well.
Is there something i’m missing? Can i provide any info to help troubleshoot/resolve this problem.
Thanx for the great job
Peter
Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback. We did notice a problem if the page you are using is a one column template. If you are using a normal page template, like I see you are using now everyting should be fine.
We are working on finding a solution and we’ll hopefully include it in the next release.
Hi Kay
Thanx again for update.
Just a note, not sure if mentioned before – this seems to be only a problem on the home page. I also use a 1 column page on a contact page (form) or the newsletter page, and those pages display the way it is expected, e.g. just the one column.
Peter
I agree with wombateer, this is a great theme! Thanks for keeping it free. When the money comes in from using the theme, I’ll be sure to pass some on to you.
I have a little bug to report that you may not be aware of. While developing a site I noticed the sub-menus would disappear so fast it was impossible to select anything. I also discovered the cause but it’s beyond my pay grade to ever find the solution, thus this request for your help. This very annoying bug only happens when “Make Site Header a Link” is “enabled”. My work around for now of course is to leave it disabled, but I would like to enable it. I hope this is an easy fix that will be included in the next release.
Thanks again.
Thanks a lot for the feedback. We hope it’s a small bug too. But we’ll fix it even if it’s a bigger one.
And as I see you don’t have your site up yet, let me ask you if you use a header image? Do you leave site title and description enabled(visible)? Did you choose a header image height from the Mantra settings?
i want to know what is the procedure to fix the width of site.
i use this theme
Well then let me tell you what good taste you have 😉
I see you fixed your problem?! If you could describe what was going on and how you fixed it that would be great.
Just a quick message to say what a great theme, and to put forth an idea/suggestion for a future version.
Widgets, the ability to hide/show widgets on various pages.
(So if I have some HTML code in a widget I can decide what page I would like it to show on or not.)
Anyway thanks for creating a super theme, and keep up the good work.
Interesting idea. We’ll think about it . Thanks a lot.
