Mantra version 1.9.9.5 is out 3 days now, so here’s the changelog:
- Mobile View is now enabled by default on fresh installs
- Finally fixed the slider mysteriously not working under certain circumstances
- The videos automatic resize function (temporarily removed in 1.9.9.4) now only triggers when the screen width is smaller than 800 pixels (and Mobile view option is enabled)
- Mantra’s Presentation Page, when enabled, is now active no matter how the “Your front page displays” option in WordPress is set.
- Removed the mistakenly set gray background colour for the mobile menu (the menu will now retain the colour you set)
- Removed the “Navigation” item (mistakenly interpreted as an actual link by some mobile browsers) from the mobile menu

Hello,
i like your theme and i am using it in my two blogs .I am experiencing a problem .Adsense not showing in homepage when activating post Excerpts
It depends on how you made Adsense show up in the first place… file edit? plugin?
Hi,
the slides in the presentation doesn’t work. I tried with safari,mozilla and chrome and not working.
Any help?
Follow the debugging guide in the forum. Also make sure the image URLs are correct.
Do please advise when tables on pages will become responsive in the mobile view. For now I have disabled the mobile view as only the first two columns can be viewed. Thanks
Tables can’t really be responsive as they have no inherent ability to move cells from one row to another. And simply shrinking them to fit the width would just make the content unreadable.
CSS tricks do exist to make them simulate responsiveness, but we’d rather not mess with the default behaviour tables should follow as this will break more things than it fixes.
Unfortunately Presentation Page does not work properly in Opera 🙁
What’s the issue and which version of Opera? as it works just fine for me on Opera 12.something
I have used the most updated version for mobile and responsive use, but my website does not come up that way at all. http://www.peglegwebdesigns.com. It looks fine on a desktop, but on an ipad or iphone it looks awful. Any suggestions?
Hey, you guy when going to remove the Word ‘WordPress’ from footer “Powered by Mantra & WordPress”. Please make it “Powered by Mantra” or “Designed by Cryout Creation”.
We are not entitled to remove WordPress’ own copyright link. If you want to do that, the blood is on your hands…
But on a more serious note, if you want to remove that line just to hide the fact that you’re running WordPress, it’s pointless. Everything in the page source points to WordPress, so hiding that fact is next to impossible.
Hi, I am new to WordPress. Dont know anything about child themes or how to make or use them
I have done a lot of customization so far. I have backed up stylesheet and a couple others. Also export Mantra Settings. Is this enough to not lose anything to do upgrade? I have been avoiding theme upgrades out of fear of losing all my work.
What will happen when I upgrade? What will go away?
What can I do to protect my site to do upgrade?
And what about Theme Options like background, header, etc… I dont thik those are all included in Mantra Settings, etc. Please help.
I cant keep avoiding updates. Thanks
Thanks for the update! Hard working people like you are awesome! Peace and happy thoughts sent your way.
Hi,
Really like your theme, love how flexible it is.
My only problem is that I cannot fix the space between paragraph. I think it’s not clear enough when you have another paragraph and I don’t like having indent.
Other than that, very good job and thank you for letting me use this theme.
Cheers
I’m having the same problem. I was able to change the padding between paragraphs on the last version of Mantra, but although I’m using a child theme, that particular change didn’t stick, and now I can’t remember how I did it. (I’m a beginner at this!)
Figured it out – you can adjust the spacing between paragraphs by adding this code to the bottom of your stylesheet (style.css).
#content p {
font-size: 15px;
line-height: 1.2em;
padding-bottom: 10px;
}
Adjust the number of pixels for padding-bottom – the bigger the number is, the more space you’ll get between paragraphs.
You’ll lose any changes you do to the files at the next theme update.
Use the “Custom CSS” field in Mantra Settings or a CSS plugin to save your custom CSS.

reloaded wp upgrade files. fixed. thanx!
reloaded WP upgrade. That fixed it. Strange but fine now. Thanx!!
Thank you very much. Will you please consider for future versions adding an option to enable “Magazine Layout” per category and in the frontpage?
I wholeheartedly agree. Would like to have a magazine layout option and be able to use the slider without having to use the presentation page.
I agree, it would be great to be able to have a slider on the homepage without having to use the presentation page.
