Mantra 1.8.7 and a little bit of 1.8.6

Before 1.8.7, for quite some time there was only 1.8.6. Version 1.8.6 had fixed many bugs and added more options to the static front page. It also added a couple of default images and text to the front page so it would be easier to use and understand.

Version 1.8.7 fixed a small bug where the Back-to-Top button was going under the social icons in the footer when the browser window was smaller than the site’s width. It also added the Confirm window before resetting the settings to default in the Mantra Settings page. We also implemented a function so that after you install Mantra you are immediately redirected to the Mantra Settings page which we hope will help a lot of new users that don’t even know that page exists.

We also added a new page template called page-blog that now you can use to replace your old Home page that had all your latest blogs, in case you are using the new front-page. Basically all you have to do is create a new page, or edit an existing one, give it any name you want and then from the Page Template selector choose page-blog.

We also played a little bit with implementing Google fonts and although you can’t use them yet, they will be available in a future version 😉

Mantra is a clean, highly configurable and totally free WordPress theme. For more info check out the theme's page.

    1. Hi Guys

Just to add to Nick’s post, had this issue since a few versions back – i think it happened when the presentation page was introduced. I also tried all sorts of things, recreate the page, got through all settings i could think of, but so far with no success.

Interesting thing is though, that if you select to use only one column in any other page (e.g. i have a contact page), it works perfectly on that.
