If you just updated to 1.9.4 be sure to check your page templates. We changed the names of the old ones and we added some new ones. You can now finally create any layout you want for each and every page. Oh joy!
Apart from that, we continued with the ongoing security updates. We changed a lot of functions, updated most of the security and data sanitization functions, and reorganized bulks of code.
For 1.9.5 there will be [shortcodes]. And more security changes.
Hello just one problem. On my front page, under the random images, the numbers or the dots are not in a good place and stay just on the four images under. (i’m french sorry for my bad english).
Lorill
This is awesome!!! I’m loving it!
Is there a way to have different widgets on different pages too?
having a problem with 1.9.5….Analytics can track real time stats buy standard reporting doesnt work. Any solution? Saw this problem in 1.9.2, rectified in 1.9.3 and 1.9.4
Thanks! That worked out fine!
Also the clock widget was bigger than before but this is also fixed by removing the line in the header.php.
Thanks again!
/Ron
And also, I have a local time clock widget that is bigger than normal?
I use wordpress version 3.4.1. btw…
/Ron
The clock widget looks fine to me.
Hi,
Can you please tell me how to get my videos back to normal shape? They are all twice the size they used to be and i can’t find a way to change it back.
Thanks in advance!
/Ron
Edit header.php and delete this line:
jQuery("#container").fitVids();
I’m running Mantra 1.9.4, and whenever I try to go into the “Mantra Settings,” nothing works. none of the buttons work, I cant change anything. And when I go to view the website, everything gets compressed to about 50px’s wide and centered into the middle of the page.
Which WordPress version, what browser, what version?
WordPress version 3.4.1, on multiple browsers (chrome, firefox, and IE, all latest versions, and Mantra 1.9.4
Did you try editing Mantra settings from a different computer? Your issue could be caused by some antivirus blocking the javascript.
Yes I did, and the same thing happened. whenever I edited anything under Mantra Settings, on either computer, the site would compress to 50px wide.
And I’m sorry I can’t give you a link to the site, I’m building the site on a local server before I publish it to the net.
Is there any way to change background of the menu bar back to black (rather than transparent} OR make the menu tabs a different color?
Thank you
You have a header background color settings in mantra under Color options.
Thank you, but I’ve tried that and there is no change, perhaps because there is a background picture? Now the menu appears transparent with the photo showing through the menu bar area.
When I share the home page on Facebook, it doesn’t find an image to use. I want it to use the header image… although, come to think of it, the header is 1100×264, so I actually want it to use a different image. Is there a way to set this?
Thanks again for the amazing theme!
Well you should be able to change the image from facebook I think. We’ll look into it ourselves.
Sweet, thanks!
Sharing posts works great, but if I’m sharing the home page, it doesn’t pick up any image.
But then, I wouldn’t want it to use the header image, so it’d be great to have something in Mantra Settings to set a ‘Default Social Media Image for the Home Page’!
I’m wondering if a few things are possible with the latest version of Mantra:
1. To add more sliders. I’d like more than 5
2. To remove the white border from the slider image
Thank you,
Leah
Everything is possible. For example I see you could remove the copyright from our theme. We will not be offering any more support to you.
Wow… that is harsh. But you can’t claim to not offer any MORE support, since there was no support in the first place. The client specifically requested I remove it. I did NOT remove it from my other sites. http://themuddogz.com/ , http://www.theangelslash.com/.
Also, i’m sure others would like to know how to add more slides. Man… that reply was RUDE.
Rude? Why?
First of all there was support. We answered all 6 of your tickets. In case you didn’t get them, please check your spam folder as I see you didn’t reply to any of them.
And we don’t really care if the client asked to remove the copyright or if you left it on in your other sites. This is not optional. That copyright is the only thing we ask for in return for this FREE theme and the only way to remove and still get support is the Fast Support donation. Also have a read here… http://www.cryoutcreations.eu/mantra-faqs/
Client? Does that mean you make money using (partly) somebody else’s (free) work?
Our terms of usage specifically say you can remove the copyright only if you make a donation for our free work.
Don’t come asking for support when you (and/or your client) don’t respect us and/or our work.
Fine. I’ll put it back.
Also, I always donate. Once my client is happy with the work, and I get paid, you’ll get the donation. And, because I LOVE mantra, you’ll get the donation every time i get paid – if I do. You deserve to be paid for your work. There was never a dispute over that. You don’t know me well enough to make these assumptions. My ethics are such that no matter how nasty you are with me, if I use your work, I will pay you for it.
Lastly, no. I have never gotten a reply to any of my support requests. I’ve checked my spam folder, and there’s nothing there.
Browse to http://www.cryoutcreations.eu/support/ and login with your email and ticket number 271794. You’ll see all your replied support requests. Unfortunately, not all emails get through (some email providers just don’t like our IP addresses)
What was that ‘special’ template in 1.9.3 ? You can disable comments for certain pages from wordprss itself. We actually have a tutorial about that. Have a look here http://www.cryoutcreations.eu/wordpress/wordpress-disableenable-comments-tutorial/
I update tot version 1.9.4. But I prefer the older version 1.9.3. because I don’t want people to have the possibility to give their comments on every page. In the older version there was a special template which gave this option.
Can I reinstall the older version, or is there a setting in the new version which I can use?
Hi, I am just wondering if I can change the color of the “content” background at all. Thanks Kylie
Please read the Mantra FAQs.
Hello,
you are the author’s theme wordpress “mantra” and I have a suggestion for this. You have create the function to put links from social networks in the header of the website is really well done. I would suggest if it was possible that this function, such as putting a flag of a language and if I click it I get on another site but translated. In this case the function must be able to load images (flags). Is what it would be possible?
Sincerely,
Patrick
Everything is possible but unfortunately that is out of the scope of our theme. You should look for a plugin.
I disabled back-to-top button from Mantra settings and saved the changes but still it appears. How to hide, please?
Yap that looks like a new bug. It will be fixed in version 1.9.5.
my web page doesnt work the same way with firefox ,google chrome, and older IE web browsers how can I fix this to look like it does with IE 9
Older versions of IE (6,7) are not supported and we don’t plan on supporting them. They are dead and should stay dead.
The theme should look acceptable on IE 8, although a lot of the graphical details will be missing.
Hello, I love the template, but had one quick thing that I got stuck on. I am trying to raise the height of the header area just a bit so I can fit a bigger image in it. Right now it is cutting off some of my image. I need to change it from 110px from 60x.
When I inspect the element I see a line of css code that does it:
#branding {
background: url(“http://www.radbrains.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/radbrain-head1.png”) no-repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;
height: 60px;
}
and it says this code is “inline:37” but I cannot find it in the backend editor anywhere, so where is it and how do I do this quick mod?
Mantra has an option for the header height, in Appearance > Mantra Settings, Layout.
any way to get mantra to use my own custom black image tabs, instead of the default white ones?
I’ve simply extracted them from the theme, GIMP’d them black, and added the modded images to the same folder that contains the originals, then copied every line referencing them from styles.css, pasted those lines into “custom css” in misc. settings, and altered each line to refer to the black tab images.
None show. I also modified the back2top.png in a similar fashion, and it isn’t showing either.
A link to your blog would really help.
Version 1.9.4 I cannot get the presentation page to work. I have changed the reading>to default posts and set the presentation page to enable, but it still hasn’t worked. Any ideas?
@Kylie Lange & @ Sara-Tace :
Make sure in the Settings >> Reading settings it’s :
Front page displays -> Your latest posts
then save the settings.
Sara, did you try disabling all plugins for a moment and checking if it works then?
yes and yes!! i did the latest post settings and disabled plugins, still no luck!
You also removed our copyright from the theme. Really sorry but we can’t provide support for you anymore.
Didn’t realise i had to leave it. I will put it back. Oops
I had this happen when I updated the theme. I lost the home page, no more slider, it was just my blog.
I made sure that my reading options were default, Then I made sure that the presentation page was enabled, Then I went to the page I created for my blogs and set the template to Blog Template (Posts Page) and everything came back up.
I had other issues where my mantra settings page was not working, closed and opened IE, same issue. CTRL-F5 and all came good. Update is functional just some minor changes I had to make.
Hi, I upgraded the Theme and lost my Home Page. Freaked out and am having my hosting company restore to my older version of Mantra which is fantastic by the way. Just wondering what the issue could have been here so that I can upgrade other sites that I build using Mantra as the Theme. Thanks Kylie Lange
Have a look at http://www.cryoutcreations.eu/wordpress-themes/mantra/mantra-1-9-2-0-12-and-the-missing-presentation-page/
Make sure you’re setting things up the right way.
I have tried doing it that way and the front page comes back but not in the right sizes. The top header is half missing and the images in the 4 columns are distorted so they go right across the screen. So instead of them being 4 columns going across the page there are 4 columns going down the page. Any ideas here? Thanks Kylie.

Hi Kay,
Everything downloaded fine except under the mantra settings page, on the presentation page, nothing happens when I click on slides or boxes. My old information stayed but the field to enter the information does not come up when I click the link. I was going to add a third slide. Let me know what I need to do.
Thanks,
Jo Lynn Deal
Also, are their instructions on how to change the layout of every page with the new version. You said it’s a feature you added but I’m not sure what that means.
Thanks again.
For the layout templates, when creating or editing a page you have in the right side a Page Template selection. You can choose from there the layout of that page.
For the other thing you mentioned, did you try disabling all plugins?
I have this weird dropdown list at the top of menu bar. How to remove that? Is driving me crazy (a perfectionist at work)
I don’t see what you’re talking about. Could you be more specific?
I have the same issue. A navigation drop down box appeared on my header. Cannot figure out how to get rid of it.
I think the problem is resolved. The dropdown list “magically” disappear. Thanks
hi, i cant upload pix on my 1.9.3,keeps on telling me error, is it a bug? please advise.
Update to 1.9.4. It’s live!
Dave, i’ve just looked at your page and it appears to be an issue with your image link
This is what it is http://wp-content/%5Brest of link]
The others are /wp-content/[rest of link]
Apologies if it is something different and I misunderstood
heh.
Ya, but I couldn’t access the settings. Restarted my browser… all is good.
I guess I had too many browsers open on too many pages for too long (as usual). Clearing the cache didn’t help, I actually had to restart ’em.
Thanks for looking and even bigger thanks for this awesome theme.
Just upgraded to 1.9.4.
Oops! The image for column 4 on the presentation page is now M.I.A.
I am unable to resolve the problem because the column settings do nothing when I click them. Tried in FF13 and IE9.
Click my name to see the site.
