The theme does not have integrated functionality to display posts in 3 columns. This could be possible, but will need a certain amount of customization and extra styling.

The header image was set through WordPress’ header image options. The header height is directly configurable in the theme’s options. The two just need to match in value.

However, WordPress itself will resize/crop them to necessary sizes which, depending on the format of the source files, may result in slight changes in appearance and sharpness.
