We were requested to remove this page template during the theme’s review for approval in the official WordPress.org themes repository.
The reviewers considered this template to be extraneous as categories support descriptions in WordPress (and plugins can be used to add HTML support to category descriptions).

If you’re using a caching plugin make sure you’ve cleared the cache after the update. If you’re customizing theme functionality using a child theme, depending on the code present in the child theme you might need to update it to reflect latest theme changes.

It is an attempt to make the theme display as much as possible (height-wise) of the static image without distorting its aspect ratio (excluding the sides is the only way to make a wide image fit in a portrait location), because simply rescaling wide images to fit in can result in a very short image height.

Please check the available documentation and search the forums before starting a topic.The image displayed in the theme by default on the landing page (homepage), under the menu, is not the configured header image but a static slider placeholder, which is configurable from the theme’s options under Landing Page > Slider.
Due to a technical limitation, the sample image is not visible in the customizer panel. To replace it, simply assign a different image. To remove the sample image, assign any other image in its place and then remove it.
