Do other sites load correctly when placed in the same Iframe?

The URL seems to be set correctly as the source of the iframe, however the browser is not loading it (and opening the iframe in a separate window/tab results in no URL being used).

@Wakachuli, post title in posts lists use the H2 tag (and the site title, if displayed, has the H1 tag). Post titles in single post sections use the H1 tag.

While we will most likely not rewrite whole parts of the existing themes to turn them into Gutenberg-focused ones, we will make any necessary changes and improvements to correct any compatibility issues that could arise.

Depending on what you’re currently displaying on the homepage, that would be simple or not.
If you’re displaying a static page, then it should be no different than the rest of the singe pages you added the background on.

If you’re displaying the posts list (or the theme’s presentation page feature which is an extension of the posts list), this behaves like a category/archive. Did you add the background video on other categories/archives? How?

Doesn’t the plugin provide a general way of setting a background video site-wide (CSS and/or script)?

@heinenmja, are you using any kind of caching/speed-up (plugin or server-site)? The source code of your site seems to indicate that. Make sure to clear/reset any caching after the update.

If you haven’t customized styling or theme files, then we’d need to see the sites with the problems visible to investigate what is going on.

A simple update from 2.6 to 3.0 will not break the layout of the site. It will at most change design details, like spaces/paddings, heights, font sizes.

The theme already supports in-page links (since this is something the browser and HTML standards specify and not theme-dependent). You need to use content links in your menu items (and a custom menu, as you found out) for these to work, like #my-custom-link to point to an anchor defined in the content:

<a id="my-custom-link">&nbsp;</a>
[...]

or any other tag with an unique id associated to it:

[...]
<h3 id="my-custom-link">Section Title</h3>
[...]

For best visual results, the menu items need to fit in the available space on the target screen sizes (and before the mobile menu is activated). If the menu items are too many for the screen, they will overflow and extend beyond one row.

Due to the complexity of the header there’s no magic fix for this yet. The solutions are to either limit the number of items to make the menu fit in one line (at least on the target screen size and larger) or activate the mobile menu earlier – when the menu no longer fits (using custom styling).

Links are not part of Septera. And which plugins are you referring to?

All the links which are displayed in content are part of the content added to the site (menu, widgets, pages/posts) so they are under your control.

Those used by WordPress (for the styles, scripts, some media, so on) are dependent on the URL you installed WordPress at and can be updated to use HTTPS if needed.

The “best-fit” size for the static slider image would be that of the site width (as configured in the theme options) and the desired height (depending on how much screen space you want the static slider to use).
