The theme’s landing page section does not display breadcrumbs. WooCommerce breadcrumbs support (on the plugin’s sections) was added in 1.2.1.

The theme also does not apply an italic style onto the excerpts, so this must come from somewhere else. Are you using manual excerpts or custom styling for the italic formatting?

The page titles visibility is also configurable.If you’re looking to recreate the full-width content (like the slider on the current homepage), that will not be possible with a static page as pages contents (and posts, and all other sections except the special presentation page feature) cannot extend beyond the configured content width limits.

If you require additional attributes to be present on the images (for accessibility or other reasons) I suggest replacing the built-in slider with a dedicated slider plugin.

You can try using a different slider plugin which displays captions below the images (or with an opaque background).

Please check the available documentation and search the forums before starting a topic.The built-in slider doesn’t play well with Jetpack’s Photon service because it fails to provide some of the necessary image file sizing information needed for calculations.
The issue is random and depends on how fast your browser/connection download the images from WordPress’ image caching servers.

What is creating/adding those links? As they are already styled differently than standard widget links.
