@freshlime, the initial question was about the Serious Slider plugin.
The built-in static slider doesn’t have a directly configurable appearance (it will inherit colours from the theme’s color options).

The crop dimensions are the site width and the header height (as set in the options).

2. The static slider caption is responsive, but it is also relative to the general font size as configured in the theme. When this is set to a larger value responsiveness will be less obvious (or even entirely unobservable).

One workaround would be to rely on the :before / :after CSS pseudoelements to add content to the widget titles via CSS.

Please check the available documentation and search the forums before starting a topic.On small enough mobile devices (800px I believe) the theme relocates the sidebar under the content, leaving the content use up all the available width.
However, looking at the source of the site it looks like you are using a caching/minification plugin. CSS minification usually interferes with the theme’s styling order, breaking it in some way or another (like responsiveness misbehaving).
I suggest you disable CSS minification in your plugin, re-enable the sidebar and re-check how it behaves on smaller mobile devices.
