    Rightly or wrongly (my apologies to anybody upset by my doing this), I have found that adding “(int)” has solved the “problem” …

    #header-page-title .entry-title { font-size: <?php echo absint( (int) $anima_ftitlessize – 50 ) ?>%;

    Luke,

    Using the Customizer, try the following:
    go to “Colors”
    select “Content”
    Overlay Opacity – set to 0%

    You might have to change the “Overlay Color” as well.

    I missed this setting when I looked through all of the options originally!
