Agreed, we have been left with very little choice. In my case, thankfully, I am not yet encountering any errors or incompatibilities with my theme (at least, nothing major that I can’t work around) which is pretty wild considering it has been OVER 2 YEARS since the last update. At this point, my main concern is keeping up with security patches and code best practices, areas where all of us are objectively falling behind by continuing to use code that’s not being monitored or updated.
I suppose it would be smart for us to get ahead of some catastrophic failure by beginning to look elsewhere or in my case, potentially find someone to hire to help reconstruct everything.
Hi, I do not believe these forums are still being checked, unfortunately. I would not anticipate any updates, at least… anytime soon, if ever.
Hi guys, I am also considering switching as my subscription has also ended last month and I’ve been unable to reach Zed for at least one year, maybe even 2 at this point. To be honest, I assumed the worst here and was completely convinced something very, very terrible happened to the developer. But then, one of my Cryout plugins got an update 2 days ago, which tells me… someone’s still here and working behind the scenes. I’m very confused what is going on and wish there was just some sort of an explanation. Whether it’s lack of time, stress, illness, injury, or even loss of passion, I don’t even care at this point – I just want an explanation as to what’s happened. I feel like I was ghosted, haha. I’ve poured my heart and soul into customizing my website’s theme over these past 7+ years and the thought of needing to switch and potentially “start over” with some random theme from someone else nearly makes me want to have a mental breakdown. But, eventually, I’ll have to come to terms with that reality…

Thanks for the message. Lack of support has been a huge concern for me in 2023 as I’ve really grown to love Fluida Plus over the years and I would MUCH prefer to not switch away if that’s at all possible. You are right though, Priority Support should be treated as such.
I’ve been trying to give Zed the benefit of the doubt. Historically, Zed has always been fast to reply and fix bugs. I did get a reply from him maybe one month ago where he addressed being aware of some incompatibilities with the latest WordPress release and he stated he has been working on fixing it. I sent a follow-up email though because I never saw any theme updates and that follow-up email went unanswered.
I have no information beyond that. I’m really hoping the theme was not abandoned because I’ve dedicated years to customizing and building a website off of Zed’s theme templates. I’m just hoping maybe something came up that required his attention and that he will soon return. That’s my hope, anyway.

Sometimes what happens is that the captions in Block Editor images show up as plain text. Instead of the classic editor caption styling being applied, no styling is applied to the caption at all.
I’m sorry for annoying you with yet another question that I have self-resolved moments after asking here. My website now does precisely what I was aiming for in the first place. Thank you for creating this powerful, customizable, and easy-to-customize theme.
I spoke too soon. It was a cache-related issue on Instagram’s side but I managed to correct it. This has been resolved.
Maybe it is not the perfect solution… but I think I actually managed to create what I was visualizing for my blog using CSS.
Something to juxtapose the “read more” button that is already attached to each blog post, in terms of design.
Perhaps another (and more simple) way of asking this is…. can we hide the meta icon and highlight the text with a background color?
