This is interesting. I will do some more research on that. Thank you!
naomiPower UserThank you!
naomiPower UserThe smileys that I have attempted to replace seem to be the standard Worpress smileys which already were not being used on the website.
It looks to me like the smileys I try to change are your smileys (https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/11/svg/1f642.svg, Cryout Creations)?
My issue is that they are >not< on my FTP to be able to replace the folder with the smileys. So how do I replace them? 🙂
naomiPower UserSo it does not cause any issue if this whole snippet is included in the H1 tag?
<h1><img id="bg_image" alt="* earth RENEWING" title="" src="https://earth-renewing.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/cropped-ER_header1300x300IC.jpg" /> <a href="https://earth-renewing.com/" title="* earth RENEWING" rel="home">* earth RENEWING</a> Flausen. Ideen. Visionen.</h1>
And how would I prevent the display of the page title on “Home” only?

naomiPower UserIs “wp-content/languages/themes/nirvana-de_DE.po” a theme specific file?
What kind of inclusion calls do you mean?
Sometimes, changes need to be done at a very specific position. Let’s say in the formular of the comments section (to change some styling here that was not gripping through the open CSS window in the Nirvana settings). How would it be overridden if I would take the file containing only the part with the updated formular? Would this be recognized?
naomiPower UserI think so, too 🙂
naomiPower UserThank you, thank you, thank you, Zed! It works perfectly 🙂
Just one more thing if it’s not too much to ask: How could I remove the little blue cross that appears as soon as I enter something into the search box? 🙂
naomiPower UserHello Zed! Before I added the div container, the text that I had added to the picture widget went into the picture, located at the bottom of the picture where it then was hardly visible.
naomiPower UserGood day,
my image in the sidebar also refused to work the same way as before the update. It got hungry: Now the text I had underneath is in the picture.
I already emptied my cache, both by using a WP plugin and by removing all browser cache, then tried F5 a couple of times. Not a change.
Edit: I was able to fix it by putting the text into a div element.
Kind regards,

naomiPower UserThank you, Zed, for your quick reply!
Sadly, it does not change the aesthetic issues. The search bar isn’t in the middle of the main menu yet and neither is the button in line with the search box.
I have removed the pink background of the button, so the search box in the sidebar can show its effect without overlapping.
Do you mean that there usually is an animation on the main menu search box?
naomiPower UserThank you very much! It works 🙂
naomiPower UserMerry Christmas 🙂
Any idea? I have reactivated the main menu search box for you to see the current effect. For my purposes, it is very important to have the box in the main menu, but I still cannot find any solution.
Have great holidays!

naomiPower UserHello Zed,
having the same issue, I tried using the CSS code you provided. It did not work for me. The columns stay when I minimize the browser window.
I even tried a plugin (Widget Options) to hide the column widgets in mobile mode but no success.
Kind regards,

naomiPower UserThank you! I’ll definitely check it out!
naomiPower UserNo, I am not using a child theme.
I just checked the file you mentioned and found this:
<?php <strong>if</strong> ( is_<strong>front_page</strong>() ) { ?> <<strong>h2</strong> class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h2> <?php } <strong>else</strong> { ?> <<strong>h1</strong> class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
Then I checked my other pages which are not the front page … You just made me realize that there is nothing wrong with the theme, it is only the front page that does not have a <h1> tag :-)) Thank you!
naomiPower UserMy address is earth-renewing.com. I am pretty new to WordPress and am currently setting up all necessities.
naomiPower UserYeap, in this case I agree with you.
I do not use any logo or anything like it. It is the missing <h1> tag although I activated the title (which I want to display btw.) that causes me troubles ^.^
naomiPower UserHi Wolfneo,
the Nirvana theme at least contains a header widget on the right side of the title. You could include your logo via a simple picture widget although it is not the best solution.
Finding a CSS option does not sound very sufficient since the <h1> tag is HTML and since I also would rather tend to include a picture (a logo) with HTML. Yesterday, I saw an editor to check and/or edit “at your own risk” in the design section, called “editor” something. For some reason, it is not there anymore. Otherwise I would have checked if we could find a solution there.
naomiPower UserHello 🙂
Using your Nirvana theme, I have checked the source code via CTRL+F and found that there is no <h1> tag. The title seems to be wrapped in the <title> tag only.
Basically, the page starts with the <h2> tag for the page title.
I am not using any logo, so I have checked the customizer and the Nirvana settings, on both pages the checkbox for displaying title and undertitle are checked.
I am looking forward to your reply!
Kind regards,
Naomi -
