Hi Jan__, is editing the image a possibility? If so, maybe try adding a subtle semi-opaque overlay to it? You can do this online using Pixlr or a site like that where you can add a new layer, fill it with black, then change the opacity to 10% – it will be a subtle effect but will really help make the text stand out.
marcusParticipantHi Zed,
Yes, I wanted something like the presentation page. The presentation page has very bad SEO (no H1 title, no alt-tags on images) and it is damaging my Google ranking, so I was hoping to replace it with a static page instead. Never mind.

marcusParticipantJust wondering if you are able to help with this issue? And also there are no H1 headers on the presentation page, is there any way to fix this too?
marcusParticipantNot sure if this helps? https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-sidebars/
(I might have misunderstood the question but thought I would try and help anyway)marcusParticipantFor me it’s getting to the point I am considering changing from this theme. Every SEO check I do says it’s a serious issue I have no H1 titles on the homepage and no alt-text on the presentation page images. I am trying to improve my ranking but this is a constant problem I am encountering.
marcusParticipantOn the sliders I set the title/alt text in the media library when I uploaded the image.
On the cryout columns I did the same, but I guess it can also get the text from the ‘title’ when I add the presentation page columns under widgets?
Thanks,
MarcusmarcusParticipantThanks for posting this Anson, no H1 tags keeps coming up with errors when I do SEO checks and along with not being able to use alt-text on slider images and the cryout columns it seems the presentation page is actually very bad for SEO which is annoying as it is the most important page on the site.
marcusParticipantI’ve managed to resolve this myself. In case anyone else has the same problem, I had to click the ‘define header image’ (rather than upload custom logo) and upload a new version of the logo there instead.
