@ Scott!
Actually sloppy and amateurish is getting the theme name you’re asking support for wrong. It’s ‘Tempera’ everywhere and you still manage to get it wrong. ‘Tempura’ sounds like the dark god of sloppy amateurs doesn’t it? Please pay a bit more attention to detail.
As for the slider, we’re using Nivo slider with our presentation page and we don’t claim that to be the best. Of course we’re going to encourage people to try out other stuff as well so that they may get the best possible experience. And the web designer that you are (using somebody else’s theme on your site just grants you that title) should know that things get a bit more complicated than that. For the slider on the presentation page we use a specific set of options for loading content into the slides. Now if the user decided to add 10 different sliders on 10 different pages, with different content on each slider, it would become very complicated without the use of custom posts (which are forbidden for themes on wordpress.org). Creating a Nivo slider plugin would be redundant as well as there already is a Nivo slider plugin on wordpress.org.
“Lacking attention to detail” for a theme that has over 200 options and is based on a framework that’s been constantly updated to the user’s needs for over 3 years now, really makes me recommend you another theme.
Good luck Scott!

Before making any modifications to your theme we strongly recommend using Child Themes.KayCryout Creations mastermindCould you be a little more specific? A link to your site would help us greatly in understanding your problem.
Also, a header image that has a fixed size can never go full width if that’s what you mean.

Before making any modifications to your theme we strongly recommend using Child Themes.KayCryout Creations mastermindActually the presentation page is fully responsive. If you get the horizontal scrollbar you may be using a faulty plugin. Please disable all plugins for a moment and check the responsiveness then.
Also, a link to your site would help a lot.

Before making any modifications to your theme we strongly recommend using Child Themes.KayCryout Creations mastermindThanks a lot Steve. Yes, we’ve had other users mention the “All-in-One Event Calendar by Timely” and its compatibility with our themes seems quite good. Should something not behave properly we’re waiting for your forum posts about it.

Before making any modifications to your theme we strongly recommend using Child Themes.KayCryout Creations mastermindHi Wayfarer!
It’s nice to see you all over the forums.
1.That will most likely be implemented for version 1.0 when we’ll add Color Schemes. Something very similar already exists in Parabola if you want you can check it out. Loading a Color Scheme only overwrites the Color, Text and Graphics settings (and you can load the Default Color Scheme as well)
2. a) We have plans to add a Continue Reading button for the slider as well
b) You can add your own excerpts by using the Custom Slides option in the Theme Settings >> Presentation Page settings
c) We’re considering adding 2 position variables (left and top) as well for the text box but at the same time we don’t want things to get too complicated.3. We are coding ninjas 😉 You don’t see us but we’re there.

We are really not getting any of these things in our tests. Please try to disable all plugins and check to see if the problem still persists. If it does please create a new Premium support ticket here https://www.cryoutcreations.eu/premium-support (you don’t have to pay anything ;)) and write TEMPERA THEME SETTINGS as the Transaction Info. In the message give us detailed info about your issue and a temp username/password to your WordPress installation so we can check it out ourselves.

Before making any modifications to your theme we strongly recommend using Child Themes.KayCryout Creations mastermindHi!
@ Olivia, the message you are seeing is from a mobile plugin you have installed. Tempera is responsive on its own so please disable all such plugins.
@ Josh If your site is 1200px for example and you resize your browser window to 1100px of course it won’t fit any more. And the text doesn’t disappear you can scroll left and right to see it . Also, your visitors will have normal browser windows and they will see the whole site.
As another test, try loading a few other sites in the half browser window and see what happens.
