Thanks, Zed. Appreciate the effort. Looks like a misleading report from Google.
I’ll look into the errors. One is from a no-longer-used provider.Clearly not a Cryout issue.
davidfbParticipantIt’s at the bottom

davidfbParticipantMuch appreciated Zed!
davidfbParticipantI was getting this with my home page only. Yesterdays Esotera Theme update fixed the issue.
davidfbParticipantHi Zed
Thanks. That is an interesting option and works but won’t address the issue.I understand the design point but it stumbles on workflow. As mentioned, people don’t back up to Reply so they usually just use the ‘Leave A Reply’ box that follows. Then comments are all stand-alone and not threaded. In complex discussions, this is harder to follow.
Happy with the theme otherwise.
davidfbParticipantPerfect, Zed – Thanks. For my site, I found a .25 opacity was what I liked. A distinct roll-over effect that brightened the image but didn’t overshadow the feature image itself. It still unifies.

This was the kicker. It’s become an old theme, not well integrated with modern WordPress. Why keep trying to patch and work-around?
I’ve migrated to Esotera with the Arcanum child theme. I was easily able to restore the general flow of the site but with a refreshed look. The bugs are gone, there’s new features and more customizations, it’s integrated with WordPress Customizer, and theres a Plus upgrade for more features.
A few things I plan to tweak but am pleased with the result. Am also pleased with Cryout. Looked at another makers theme that was highly recommended. It had a couple of cool features but was full of bugs and missing customizations.
davidfbParticipantThanks, Zed!
davidfbParticipantThanks, Zed! I wanted this also.

Don’t think they’re full-time at this so it may be a few days. I’m looking at moving to a more recent and supported theme as they’ve not fixed the bugs from the last update Mantra yet.
August 12th, 2020 at 23:37 in reply to: Comments not appearing since upgrading to WordPress 5.5 #106482davidfbParticipantYes, same here. The submit comment box is present and the comments total but existing comments are not displayed. I disabled all related plugins and it made no difference.
Currently Mantra is updated to support WP 5.2

Note that Mantra still has the bug of displaying categories (poorly formatted) when set not to.

davidfbParticipantThanks, Zed. Perfect.
I rarely use Lists, so this is fine.May 28th, 2019 at 02:35 in reply to: Mantra 3.2 – setting to hide post categories not working #78051davidfbParticipantThanks, Zed. It’s appreciated.
davidfbParticipantThanks, Zed
I tested the Gutenberg plugin today with Mantra theme and it appeared to be line breaking each space in the image caption, similar to the above. I tried and it fixed it but what a hassle. This code may help but I will probably use the Classic Editor plugin until WP works out some of the kinks. I was surprised how many issues there was in the new editor interface. No wrapping images? Not WYSIYG? Sheesh.
davidfbParticipantI have the same issue.
The new cookie checkbox is not enabled by default, breaking some functionality, like acknowledging the comment is moderated.
(Settings, Discussion, Show Comments Cookies Opt-in Checkbox. )After it’s turned on, people need to be asked to check the box so the form behaves correctly. I’d like to add a message accordingly.
I’ve seen a JS solution but it doidn’t work in the custom JS box. The other solutions to add text require editing the Comments.PHP. The Theme turns off access to the Editor. (I’m using Mantra)
Suggestions?
davidfbParticipantThanks, Zed!
davidfbParticipantIn your Dashboard, go to Appearance, Mantra Settings. You assign the images, links, etc in the Presentation Page section along with the row of links below that.
That are lots of other things to adjust there beyond what the WP Customizer can do.
If you’re not seeing this, be sure to install the Cryout plugin that enables the themes functionality.
davidfbParticipantThanks, Zed. Perfect. Solved the problem.
davidfbParticipantPerfect, Zed. Thanks!
I dropped the bottom margin to 10px.I have several bits of custom styling I’ve added to the Misc Settings section over time. Key is knowing the IDs to adjust them. Much appreciated.
Now my Mantra v3 implementation is back how I like it but with the new enhancements. 🙂

davidfbParticipantJohn –
The “Cryout Serious Theme Settings” plugin allows the custom theme settings to be accessed. If you only make very simple changes in the WP Appearance, Customize section, you may not need it. But if you want to tweak fonts and the many other features of these themes, you do. (See Appearance, Mantra Settings.)Newy –
Your issue sounds unrelated. Your web site seems to behave normally when I gave it a quick check. If you’re still having issues, follow the forum guidelines and post a separate topic. You’ll have to be a little clearer what links are not working, with link examples.davidfbParticipantThanks for the update and fix, Zed.
