I need to put a short paragraph at the top of my blog, before the blog posts. Is it possible to create an area there for widgets or do I need to change theme?

We are however in the process of adding ‘before content’ and ‘after content’ widgets so if you can wait a bit that would be the safest solution 😉

The problem with that is that it only displayed the hyperlinked text as hyperlinks when you click on the post itself. I really need to create a short bit of text which links to my main site at the top of my blog. I need this because my blog is outranking my site for a key search term and my blog is not currently a good landing page. The before content widget sounds good, any idea when it will be ready? I do need a solution now though.
February 28th, 2013 at 22:30 #3932KayCryout Creations mastermindHi again!
Under Post Excerpt Settings you have ‘Affect Sticky Posts’. Make sure that’s set on ‘Full Post’. If that’s set, the actual content of the sticky post will be shown and not just the text. Try it like that one more time.
We can’t estimate an exact time until the widgets will be implemented buy hopefully it will be in the next version witch should be out in about a week.

There is no affect sticky post in my post excerpt settings. I was able to create hyperlinks by enabling html in post excerpts but obviously am still limited to the content of an excerpt in terms of what displays. Is this because of the version of mantra I am using 1.8.6?
