We are trying to use Featured Video Plus as a plug in to display a video directly on the home page as one of the fearured columns. We can’t get this to work. Do you have any tips or recommendations?

Can someone on the team help us to figure out what would be the best route for displaying videos directly on the home page as one of the featured columns? We are using Featured Video Plus with Tempera and its not working. Suggestions or recommendations?

If the plugin provides a widget, try placing that widget in the theme’s presentation page widget area.
Otherwise, if the plugin provides a shortcode, try usign that shortcode in a Text widget in the same widget area.

Either way, there is no guarantee that the video will fit correctly in the desired location.

Our presentation page is set to display “latest posts from category” as opposed to “Widget Columns”. So the solutions proposed above will not work as we are not using widgets for the presentation page. Is their a plugin that you can recommend that would replace the “featured image” with a “featured video” to be displayed as the feature on the home page?

I very much doubt the featured video would automatically replace the featured image in the column as that is not standard WordPress functionality. It pretty much depends on how the plugin handles (overrides) the frontend display functionality for the featured images.
