I upgraded your theme today, but now when I go to Parabola Settings and click on the different menus, absolutely nothing happens, so I can’t change any settings.
October 1st, 2014 at 22:58 #27502ianEricI am having the EXACT same problem. This using Safari on a Mac. Since the update, Parabola settings are no longer accessible; the main settings page looks the same, but the sections do not open. PLEASE HELP!!
October 2nd, 2014 at 10:30 #27507DonovanI had the same issue after updating with Internet explorer but it works through chrome 🙂
October 3rd, 2014 at 14:42 #27549TravelaarI have the same issue after the update. On top of that, when I change any of the settings, the menu bar goes transparent.

If the administration page doesn’t work correctly, first make sure you are using the latest WordPress and theme versions.
Usually this issue is caused by poorly written plugins that break Javascript functionality in the dashboard and also affect theme settings.
Use your browsers development tools (usually enabled with F12) to inspect for JS errors; or temporarily disable all your plugins and check that the theme settings return to working condition; then enable them back one by one to figure out which plugin is causing the issue.

Everything was working fine until I updated the Parabola version. That is the only thing I updated. (All other plugins and WP version were up-to-date.) Now I cannot access the Parabola Settings. I check the development tools and had no errors.
Please advise. Thank you.

Also, the text at the bottom of my page that says “powered by parabola” etc. is off to the left, rather than centered like it should be. None of these issues are present when I’m using Internet Explorer.
October 31st, 2014 at 16:58 #28037DanielAlso, I’m using WordPress 4.0
November 4th, 2014 at 10:17 #28081AlSame issue. Parabola settings are dead as a doorknob, except for the color change during mouse-over on each of the settings. Tried deactivating plugins, as directed, but to no avail. It seems you have bricked your theme for many of us with this update. Can the update be undone?
November 5th, 2014 at 18:43 #28096AlThe problem apparently involves either the WP or Parabola interface with Google Chrome (on the Windows 8 OS). I tested it with other browsers (e.g., Firefox, Safari) and so far they all seem to be working fine (except, as mentioned, on Chrome). I hope this information helps.
November 5th, 2014 at 18:59 #28097AlOn second thought… after noticing that many are having the same issue with other browsers, I’m wondering if the problem might affect only the browser on which the update had been performed. Anyway, try using the theme settings with browsers other than the one used when updating. It doesn’t necessarily make sense, but this has worked for me… so far.
November 11th, 2014 at 00:12 #28165ZedCryout Creations mastermindThe last update is over a month old, the first 5 messages in this topic are from before it was released and the number of complaints are very small compared to the number of people using the theme – these indicate to me that there is no real problem in the theme.
Did you update from a pre-1.2 version? If yes, try a force refresh in your malfunctioning browser(s) (Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+R depending on the browser). Version 1.2 moved some JS around and can cause issues due to browser caching.
Things to check:
- no plugins enabled
- latest WP and theme versions
- force refresh in the browser
- test several browsers
Then let us know how it goes.

In Chrome everything worked fine.
But the website (frontend) is not performing well in Firefox on Windows 8: the animation on the columns doesn’t work. Altough there is no problem on my Firefox in Mac.November 21st, 2014 at 13:35 #28329JonathanI have experienced the same issue. I followed the suggestions here and I am now back up and running. I deactivated all plugins and then activated them one by one. Importantly, I reloaded the page each time I looked at Parobala settings. Similarly, I reloaded the homepage in order to clear out cached pages. Strangely, I have activated all plugins and it’s working OK now. Thanks for the advice.
