Hello,
I cannot get my posts on the home page to display as excerpts! I’ve disabled plugins to rule that interference out. WordPress and all plugins are updated. In Post Information -> Excerpts, everything is set to Excerpt.
Help is GREATLY appreciated!

Could you try switching one to plain article and see if that changes things? If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.
Please check the available documentation and search the forums before starting a topic.December 29th, 2016 at 11:26 #41556I think is better to always insert in your posts, after the first paragraph, the Read More tag. This way when you switch themes you don’t have to worry of the way they deal with excerpts.
December 29th, 2016 at 18:53 #41563Thank you so much for your reply! Didn’t know about the “Read More” tag — that’s super useful info, so thanks for sharing! Wish you a pleasant day.

December 29th, 2016 at 18:59 #41567SOLVED! Solution:
As per Zed’s suggestion (huge thank you for your response!), make sure your posts format is set to “Standard.” In my case, my posts format were already set to “Standard.” But I changed them to “Image,” then back to “Standard,” and that did the trick.
1. You can change the default format of ALL of your posts at once by going to Dashboard > Settings > Writing > Default Post Format > Standard.
2. Or change them individually for each post in each Edit Post page. Look for the “Format” section in the right sidebar. If it’s not there, open the “Screen Options” drawer at the top of the page, and make sure “Format” is enabled.Cheers!
