I updated Parabola to 2.4, but I did not re-create or update my child theme.
Everything looks OK, but I wondered about this part of the release notes:“- Rewrote theme styles enqueue code to use current WordPress standards – this can result in styles loading in incorrect order if you’re using a child theme with old code and may require updating the child theme”
This feels a little vague.. how do I know if I need to update my child theme? is there any way of checking? what would I be looking out for?

As I don’t understand the PHP enqueuing stuff, would the same effect be achieved by moving all CSS from the Nirvana child them misc. settings into the WordPress Custom CSS?
Thanks.March 21st, 2021 at 22:50 #115705ZedCryout Creations mastermindThat depends on what you’re customizing using the child theme. If you’re only applying custom styling, WordPress’ Additional CSS field (or a CSS plugin) usually suffices. If you’re customizing (replacing) theme code, then a child theme is needed (some tweaks can also be implemented using a plugin instead).
