In the initial WordPress download, there is a header/slider image when going to Site Identity/Header Image. But when I try make a static page and not have posts and then add Landing Page/Text areas. It takes away what the header Image. I want my layout to have header image and text areas layout which looks very good to me. how do I accomplish this?

The landing page only works when the homepage displays the default posts list. Assigning a static page as the homepage makes that override the theme’s landing page.
