this is probably not Cryout Creations issue, but it may be a problem others are also having.
I use GoDaddy Managed WordPress Hosting. When I start a new website I frequently choose to use a temporary domain while I am building the site. GoDaddy puts a little box at the top of the Dashboard that says: “Note: You’re using the temporary domain ‘domain’. Change Domain.”

The ‘Change Domain’ at the end of the Note box is a link to the owner’s dns manager.

in the Tempera Settings page the GoDaddy Note box shows up in the Layout Settings section. The Layout Settings are not available. This problem goes away when the temp domain is replaced with final domain.

i see this in every Tempera site i build on a temp domain, and in sites built in Mantra, but not in Nirvana.

So far there are ways to work around the lack of Layout Settings, but it is a little annoying.

I have no idea if this is an issue with GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress Hosting or with the Cryout Serious Theme Settings plugin, or just the Tempera Settings section, but I thought you should know about it.

This problem is caused by a JS change since WordPress 4.4.2 which we’ve corrected for in Tempera 1.4.1.
