Hi,
I have been scratching my head over the setup of Social Icons on the Septera Theme. Although this may have been obvious to everyone who has used similar themes in the past, it was not obvious to me what steps were needed.
Since the documentation is not ready yet, here are the steps that worked for me:
- Yes, create a new menu to hold the custom links for each social entity.
- Set this menu to social icons in either the menu editor or customizer.
- Add menu to the location you want it to appear in either the editor or customizer.
- Create custom links linking to social site and enter the social site’s name as “CSS Class.” For example, “twitter”
The icon and link should now be displayed. To see the list of supported icons see gerneric-icons.css

I added a custom link following the tutorial, and added the CSS classname, but it doesn’t pull the icon in.Thanks.
