Looking for a way to add a sidebar on the Presentation Page. Played around with the layout and presentation page settings to no avail. I figured out how to use a different Page Template in place of the presentation page, but can’t figure out how to include the same rich features (slider image, columns, dynamic posts).

Any words of advice on how to add the sidebar? Thanks in advance, apologies if this has been discussed before, wasn’t able to find.

Can’t be done as far as I’m aware. You can basically either use the Presentation page or not on which you can choose to display or not display the footer widgets. I guess you could create your own model of the front page with a slider plugin.
