On my Nirvana blog template, when I select “show sharing buttons,” the buttons are round with a symbol inside instead of a blue circle with the Facebook “f” or the light blue circle with the “Twitter bird” logo. Is there a setting I’ve missed to correct this issue?

June 18th, 2016 at 15:14 #37351ZedCryout Creations mastermindFor anyone with this issue: When using the blog page template in conjunction with Jetpack’s sharing buttons you need to keep sharing enabled on pages for the buttons to appear correctly.
The long explanation: The ‘blog’ section is a page is using the theme’s blog page template. The plugin can be configured to add the social icons independently on pages and/or posts.
Disabling social icons on pages in the plugin will keep them visible on posts including when they are listed on the theme’s blog page; but as this ‘blog’ section of the site is a page, not a true category, the plugin’s check will fail and it will not load its resources (styles and icon font), leaving the social links malfunctioning. If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

I’m new. From your reply, I’m not quite sure what to do to fix it. Can you give a n00b a set of explicit instructions on how to make it work?
June 26th, 2016 at 16:59 #37426ZedCryout Creations mastermindI’ve mostly summed it up in my previous answer: When using the theme’s blog page template in conjunction with Jetpack’s sharing buttons feature you need to keep the sharing buttons enabled on pages (beside posts) for the buttons to appear correctly on the posts listed on the blog page.
