The serious settings plugin will not activate, the error it gives on the Cryout Serious Theme Settings page reads…
Current active (or parent) theme is: Parabola, however the plugin is designed to work with version 1.6 or newer of Parabola.
You are running Parabola version which does not need this plugin.
The plugin is INACTIVE.

When i navigate to appearence > parabola settings it tells me the version is…
Parabola v2.2.2 by Cryout Creations

As far as I can tell these should work together, but no options are available to edit in either of the menus. Is there an issue with the theme verision? Or do you think that its a plugin issue?

Try deleting and reinstalling Parabola, in case previous updates failed to replace all theme files.
